Hi I’m Valerie Spanjers,
I’m a photographer and artist from the Netherlands. My work lives in the space between presence and wonder, where light, nature, and human connection meet.
Photography is my way of exploring life with curiosity, of seeing beyond thoughts and rational thinking. A practice of noticing and finding magic in the ordinary.
My work is an invitation to this state of being. To feel a sense of wonder and trust to surrender to the mystery of life, an invitation to be without force.

I love capturing moments in time. It’s freeing to connect with the world around me this way, to observe with an open mind. Find different ways of seeing. It helps me reflect, and evoke a feeling of gratitude for what is right here, right now.
The studio
Based in Arnhem, the Netherlands
The studio is my playground to connect, to play, and bring to light the beauty and magic that I believe lives inside all of us.
Prints
My very first print collection “in flow”. Inspired by the movement of the sea. Representing the feeling of coming back to the well, back to creativity. A warm feeling in which time disappears and everything connects and flows. Where possibilities are endless, and new ideas spark, like the sun glittering on the ocean’s surface.
